Over the last several days I have received 40 or more comments, 35 of them were spam! Spammers ruin everything.

Checking Out the Homestead

Tomorrow we are allowed back into our town to check out our houses. It is hard to believe we have been gone a week already. My wife’s company moved us to a really nice Hampton Inn today. The only problem with it is that we can’t fix meals here. That means we must eat out. I hope they get the electricity back on soon!

I’m ready to get back to personal finance blogging.

Closer, But Still a World Away

Well, we left Georgetown, TX this morning and headed to Houston. Almost all of Southeast Texas is without power and we have no idea how long it will be before power is fully restored. It’s a pretty frustrating feeling. Right now me and my family are holed up in an extended stay hotel. It’s not home, but I am trying to be thankful for what we have.

My posting will probably be spotty for the next few weeks.

JLP Update

September 26, 2005

Well, we left my wife’s aunt’s house this morning and are now in Georgetown, visiting my sister-in-law. I’m ready to go home but not until they have the electricity back on! We did hear from our next door neighbor that our house is in good shape. YIPPY!
