flat tax or national sales tax looks like the only way out of the mess we have let ourselves get into. Washington lobbyists have sold us down the river one little tax dodge at a time and it is high time for us to take charge and convince our congress men that we the people are demanding that they do away with the IRS and adopt a flat tax. Some lawyers and accountants will have to find new work but into each life some rain must fall. I think we need a concerted letter writing campaign to our congressmen demanding they make this change. Bring enough pressure and we willo be heard and we caqn win.

first off laughter, a bunch of people did lose a bunch of their savings. a problem i have with the whole thing is 1. people not paying attention to their retirement (looking at their 401k’s and IRA’s on a regular basis) and then bitching when it doesn’t pan out and 2. the fact that I’m contributing to social security and it won’t be there for me. So I would LOVE to privatize social security. but the only problem is that it’s people like myself who need to bail out the idiots. as far as the flat tax goes, it’s brilliant.
