So Now I’m a Liar

By JLP | December 12, 2005

This is kind of funny.

I was sitting here working when the phone rang. I picked it up and it was some guy who said he was with a company called Magellan (at least that’s what I thought he said). Anyway, he then tells me that I had sent in for some information recently and that he was getting back to me. Of course I didn’t send off for any information. So, I tell him that I didn’t send for anything and he says, “I don’t believe you,” and hangs up the phone. I hate these guys who call me and waste my time.

You might want to look into adding your number(s) to the National Do Not Call Registry.

I had someone do that when somone tried to pitch me a credit card on the phone by bragging about the balance transfer rate and I told them we didn’t have any CC debt to transfer. They actually said I was lying and everyone had CC debt!

Annoyingly, it was a CC offered through my phone company, so I couldn’t “do-not-call” them…

I like Foobraista’s incident where the person said everyone had CC debt whoever that was is not very smart, I have one credit card and no credit card debt. If people could I bet someone could find a small but seemingly huge number of people without any CC debt and show that person.
