More Changes to AllThingsFinancial

By JLP | December 14, 2005

As you can probably tell, I’m still making changes to AllThingsFinancial. My goal with these changes is to make the blog easier on the eyes by not having such drastic color changes. I do have two questions for any of you web design experts:

1. How do I go about rounding the corners of the boxes?

2. How do I make the posts one continuous stream separated by a line or something rather than each story in its own box?

I would hire an expert to build the site for me but I haven’t seen anything out there that I really like, which means I really don’t know what I want.

    1. You will need to create an image file for each of the corners. You can see an example of this on my blog. I didn’t create it since it was part of the template.

    2. I assume that your template is configured to put each post in a box with the background color of ‘#FAF8CC’ while the background color of the entire web page is set to ‘#C9C299′. If you created the middle section of your blog with a table and set that background to the color of ‘#FAF8CC’, that might work.

    Can’t help with the formatting,
but I’ve always liked the ‘boxy’ format
of your blog. It’s easy to read.
And the info on your blog is always
    full of good info.
