I Want One of These
By JLP | January 11, 2006

Personally, I think this is much better looking than the Lexus RX. It’s funny how your tastes change over the years. Now that I have a family and kids, I think SUVs are “nice looking.” My how the times have changed.

Hey, that doesn’t look half bad. Doesn’t really look like a Buick at all. Don’t you drive a Buick SUV right now?

Personally I like the new Lincoln MKX better… Probably be more expensive though.

It is amazing that I have actually looked twice at some American built cars lately. The domestic manufacturers are creating some appealing looking rigs all of a sudden.

Not bad looking. Looks a lot like the Nissan Murano.

Yes, we have a 2002 Rendezvous and I really like it. We will keep it for a long time. However, my wife drives a 1998 Honda Civic that is too small for our family. So, we will get rid of it in December 2007 and buy something bigger.
For some reason I have always been a Buick fan but have been disappointed in their styling.

It does look nice, but how much is it (sorry, I didn’t check)? SUVs are pricey and in my opinion not worth the money spent.
Ever since I got into PF blogging, I have been looking at everyday things like this a little more closely and I am now convinced that my next car may just be a Hyundai or something cheap. Don’t get me wrong, I love nice/cool cars and would love to get a 350Z next…but cars are worthless for the most part.

Yes, but somewhere inside don’t you still long for something like the new Mazda Kabura?

OK, forget my last post, I need that Kabura.

Getting far off topic, but that car looks like a miniaturized Nissan 350Z ripoff.

We just bought a Honda Element: small footprint (fits in our one-car garage), enough internal room for four large American males, and the seats fold up into the walls, making the back almost like a pickup when we haul furniture or other big stuff. And it was cheap: only about $25K out the door, including sales tax, a Lojack, and a warranty upgrade. It gets about 24mpg according to our calculations.

The look is not bad, but I am just worried about the reliability of a Buick. I know this is cliche, but every American car I have had has been a real sucker of money. Personally would rather go for the LX 330, hybrid not worth it yet. Also I am not sure if anyone needs to consider this when buying a new car, but re-sale will be much higher with the import.
