Tune Into Oprah Friday, February 17
By JLP | February 16, 2006
Tomorrow’s Oprah Show will be interesting to personal finance bloggers because she’s doing a show called Join the Debt Diet with guests Jean Chatzky, David Bach, and Glinda Bridgforth. They will profile three families’ struggles with debt and the impact that it is having on their relationships. It should be very interesting.

Added to my Tivo, thanks for pointing this out. David Bach’s books, while not very deep, were the motivation for me to begin paying closer attention to my personal financial situation.

Thanks! I set my Tivo to record it. I started thinking about finances when I saw David Bach on Oprah a few years back when he was talking about his book “The Automatic Millionaire”.

That would be interesting…but then I’d have to watch Oprah!

Curses! This is one of those rare shows that makes me wish I had
television.

I think she’s missing Dave Ramsey from that mix. Of course, he was on there last year anyway…

Jesse,
I’m tired of Dave Ramsey. I don’t know what it is but something about him rubs me the wrong way. I believe in his ministry but have never really cared for him. Maybe I’m jealous.

I love Dave Ramsey. He doesn’t play around and coddle people, he holds their feet to the fire and makes them a little bit uncomfortable so that they’ll WAKE UP. He does it, though, with love. If you can not get your feelings hurt and actually listen to him, you’ll hear that he only wants good things for you.
