Jeeves is Getting Fired!

By JLP | February 28, 2006

AskJeeves.com is becoming Ask.com in a huge makeover at the search engine. Their goal is to take on Google. Barry Diller, CEO of InterActiveCorp (the parent company of Ask.com), believes that Ask.com is the superior search engine because it gives more acurate results.

My guess is that it will be very difficult for Ask.com to take over Google since Google has become a habit for most people. I have the Google Toolbar installed on my computer. For me to use another search engine would mean that I would have to make an effort to go to Ask.com. I don’t see that happening any time soon. However, I will say that I have noticed more people getting to AllThingsFinancial from Ask.com.
