Yahoo! Quote Has Some Competition
By JLP | March 21, 2006
Lots of bloggers are talking about Google Finance Beta. “Beta” means that it is still in development so there could be bugs that need to be worked out. I heard about the new site through an email I received from the InternetStockBlog.
I haven’t taken a lot of time to investigate the new site. However, on first glance it looks a lot like Yahoo! Finance. One thing I found sort annoying about the Google’s site is the pop-ups when you scroll over certain sections (like the management section on a company page). The charts are pretty awesome. If you put your mouse inside the chart, it will tell you the stock price for the day your mouse is positioned on. That’s pretty cool. Yet, I still like Yahoo!’s share price history, which can be downloaded into Excel. One last thing I like about the Google site is the fact that they have links to blogs that are talking about the company. That’s pretty cool!
Anyway, check it out. It will be nice having another place to find company information.

Interesting…
So far, I like yahoo finance better but I’m sure Google will step it up to make their site more user friendly.
