Focus on Frugal Blogs

By JLP | March 30, 2006

Here are some of my favorite frugal blogs:

1. Frugal for Life – In the blogosphere, she’s been around FOREVER (since December 2004). I consider Dawn the Queen of Frugality. To visit her blog is like stepping into a frugal store. There are ideas and tips and links to other frugal sites. This blog is worth your time. Oh, and Dawn was recently interviewed by Scott at MoneyBloggerPodcast.

2. MoneyDummy – Take frugality and technology, mix them together and you have MoneyDummy. She recently spruced up her blog. I like the new look. You will too.

3. The Frugal Duchess – This is a busy woman. Besides keeping up with her blog, she also writes for the Miami Herald (might require registration). The Frugal Duchess likes to shop and is always happy to post pictures of her latest bargain.

4. Educating the Wheelers – This post says it all. Oh, and her husband bought her a URL and website for a present!

5. FrugalUnderground – Sara is busy, busy, busy. If you don’t believe me, read her About Page. She doesn’t update FrugalUnderground frequently but it is still a good blog to check out.

6. Frugal Homemaker Plus – This is a blog I found today. I like it because she lives in Wichita, KS, which is where I am from. Reading about her trials and tribulations of living in Wichita takes me back home. Her post about trying to walk to the store is pretty funny. I’m also going to try out her meatloaf recipe (a real man loves meatloaf!).

Thanks for the mention! Glad I’m helping you relive your Wichita days. :-) Hope you like the meatloaf. It’s the only one I’ll make. I think it must be the sausage that makes it so amazing.

Thanks for the links, JLP! It is interesting to visit blogs that are sort of “off the beaten path” because the people sound so nice and genuine.

Thanks JLP for the mention, such kind words. And sometimes I DO feel like I’ve been around FOREVER. Maybe I just need a vacation.

You made some decent points there. I did a search on the topic and found most persons will go along with with your website.
