Coca-Cola Blák
By JLP | April 5, 2006
Well, I just tried Coke’s big new drink, Blák (strangely, the Coca-Cola website doesn’t have any information on Blák ). I have always been a fan of Coca-Cola (I can’t stand Pepsi). However, I don’t think Blak is going to be a winner. In fact, I bet it will be off the market within 6 months. For one, at $4.99 a FOUR pack, it’s too expensive to justify buying all the time. Secondly, I can’t figure out the taste. Is it Coke or is it coffee? Kinda strange. I won’t say it’s gross. But, I will say that I would rather have a regular Coke or a cup of coffee.

Ooh…Coke/Coffee sounds like a terrible mix. I’ll just stick with Pepsi…

I get my caffeine from (diet) Dr. Pepper, Mtn. Dew and iced tea, and so probably won’t even try it.

Maybe it is good to wash the taste of anchovies out of your mouth. ;o)

About a year ago I commented to a friend that Coke should make an unsweetened version and call is Coke Black. I thought that if people could drink black coffee, they could certainly get used to unsweeted coke.
SO then I find out that they did something similar, but flavored it like coffee. Gross!
The first company that has a caffinated, splenda sweetened drink that actually tastes good, is going to have a life long customer.

I hate coffee taste, so I will probably skip this one. Long live Pepsi (or Coke…I just love soda).

I’m actually drinking a Coke Blak that I picked up at the drug store for $1.99. And I actually like it. Much better than lime flavored Coke. The coffee flavor sort of dissipates after the first few sips, but the aroma lingers.
