This is Funny

Here’s a little Thursday afternoon humor for you courtesy of Jalopnik. I left a note similar to that except mine went something like this:
LEARN HOW TO PARK, IDIOT!
That’s a huge pet peeve of mine: people who take up two spaces. This particular time when I left the note, I was driving around in a crowded parking lot. The ONLY space available was one that was taken up by someone who was driving a pickup. Who has the nerve to do something like that? When you do something like that you are just asking for someone to scratch your car.
Another pet peeve of mine is people running red lights. I’m not just talking about slipping through an intersection when the light changes from yellow to red. I’m talking about blatant running of red lights. Not only is it extremely dangerous, it is also very rude. At any particular time, I can sit at an intersection in my town and count 2 – 3 cars going through on a red light. The problem is even worse on left turns.
I wish our city would invest in cameras and start charging big fines for running red lights.

Fun fact: red light cameras are more dangerous than no red light cameras…
http://trends.autoblog.com/2006/04/05/maryland-countys-red-light-cameras-net-2-85-million-increase/
“Immediately after installation, the cameras sparked a 40-percent increase in rear-end collisions, and never looked back, with five-year increases in accident rates far exceeding a 10-percent increase in traffic.”
Those accidents are caused by people who slam on their brakes when they look up and see the light turning yellow.

There was something on the morning news once about pet peeves…this guy actually has little postcards with instructions on how to park properly along with a website to “learn more”…The picture on the card shows correct and incorrect…obviously incorrect is the car sitting on the line rather than being in the lines…it’s pretty funny.

I love this post, echos my sentiments exactly. Not to mention people who load groceries into their vehicle and just give the cart a shove assuming it will roll itself into a proper cart spot. One thing I can’t understand though is people not using their turn signals. It’s such a simple device, there’s only two options. It drives me up a wall how so many people get up in fits about things like gun violence and wanting to ban this an that in the name of safety, yet society has seemed do just become complacent with reckless driving.

I wouldn’t even know where to begin with my list of pet peeves of other drivers. I probably have about a hundred that I encounter each week driving to and from work.
I would agree with Adam…one of my biggest is the non-use of blinkers. We have a really dangerous area here in Poughkeepsie where 44/55 meets Route 9…there are always accidents there and I have to drive that section daily. Basically, I have to merge onto 9 (a 2 lane highway there) while others are merging onto my road right in front of me…the problem is that half the people don’t use their blinkers or put them on when they are already next to me. How about some advanced notice? IDIOTS!
See, I start to get angry just thinking about it!!!
