The FJ Cruiser as a Marketing Tool
By JLP | April 21, 2006
TheHappyCapitalist isn’t the only one checking out the Toyota FJ Cruiser. Some friends of mine just bought a black one that looks like this:

What makes this a cool purchase for them is that they own a skateboard and surfboard store. They slapped one of those magnetic signs to the side of the FJ Cruiser and have been driving around. Since these are still really new vehicles, they get a lot of looks. My friend said that they have been stopped numerous times by people wanting to check out their car. The best thing they can hope for is that these don’t become extremely popular vehicles so that the novelty doesn’t wear off.
Of course, the question is: will it help them sell more skateboards and surfboards? I’ll let you know.

cool design … I’d want one, except it’s too small to fit my growing family
