GMAC Bank Accout Set-up Completed
By JLP | May 9, 2006
Since I last posted about my GMAC Bank account-opening experience, several things have happened:
I opened the account on May 1st.
1. I got my Debit Card in the mail.
2. I got my PIN number for my Debit Card in another mailing (I received both on the same day).
3. I received my box of checks yesterday.
4. I recieved my welcome packet last Friday.
5. I logged into my regular bank account today and noticed that the two random amounts from GMAC Bank had been deposited into my account. GMAC Bank does this as a way of verifying bank accounts. I logged into my GMAC Bank account and verified my account by entering the two amounts deposited into my regular bank account. Within seconds, I had the verification done. Now all I have to do is set up recurring transfers and I’ll be done.
Today is May 9th. So, within 8 days the entire account-opening process was completed. Not too shabby. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest), I would say GMAC Banks account set-up process deserves a 10. It really was that easy.
You can be sure that I will keep you posted on both the good and the bad regarding my GMAC Bank experience. So far, it’s been great.
