Accounting: $46,188, up 5.4 percent
Business administration/management: $40,976, up 3.9 percent
Chemical engineering: $56,549, up 4.2 percent
Civil engineering: $45,544, up 4.8 percent
Computer engineering: $54,200, up 5.3 percent
Computer science: $50,892, down 0.8 percent
Economics/finance: $45,058, up 5.3 percent
Liberal arts: $30,958, up 2 percent
Marketing: $37,446, down 1 percent

I’m getting a degree in mechanical engineering (actually co-oping with a Fortune 500 Consumer Appliances company right now) and the numbers for engineering look about right from what my graduating friends are telling me. At my school the starting salaries are a litle higher because companies seem to put a premium on the education that students recieve there.
