Blogging From my NEW HP dv8000!

By JLP | June 3, 2006

Well, I finally broke down and bought a new laptop/desktop, the HP Pavilion dv8000. I say “laptop/desktop” because this thing is freakin’ huge! It has a 17″ widescreen. I’m okay with this because portability really isn’t that important for me. I like being able to use my computer around the house and don’t want to be tied to a desktop but also want to be able to take it on the road with me when necessary. So, I’m excited!

Congrats on your purchase! I’ve had an iMac in my head for a while know and might spring for one real soon as well. Especially with the dual-booting capabilities – best of both worlds.

Yeah, I thought about a Mac but they seem too expensive to me. Maybe someday!

Congratulation on your purchase for a new laptop! This is my dream laptop since the first time I read the article about HP dv8000. This series of laptop come with a 17″ screen and this big screen really promise a large working space for us. Now I only using my desktop, later, when I really make some money from internet, I sure will get a laptop just like what you did :-)

Looks pretty cool! One of the best features, in my book, is that the keyboard has an actual number pad! :)

    John,

Yeah, that’s one of the things that I really liked about this computer. However, it does not make it a small laptop. I’m thinking I might have to get a bigger computer bag.

I have the 15.4 inch version of that laptop. It is amazing!
