Where’s Alan Abelson?
By JLP | June 11, 2006
I have noticed for the past several months that Alan Abelson is no longer writing the Up & Down Wall Street column in Barron’s. At first there was a little note at the end of the column saying that he was on vacation. Then, they said he was away. After a few more weeks, they said he was on leave. Now there’s no note at all. I hope all is well with Alan.
UPDATE: I just found out that he is on medical leave but is expected to be back later this month.

I just received my first issue after not subscribing for a few years – only reading it occasionally until this week. I just thought he had gone on to other things.

Thank God Alan Abelson and is back in time to make sense out of the current market indigestion. I have missed his column. In fact, when I receive my weekly Barron’s and find that Alan is not writing the Up & Down Wall Street coulmn, I feel cheated.
THREE CHEERS FOR ALAN. WELCOME BACK.
