We all know that prices tend to rise over time. However, it is amazing at how fast they rise even with a modest inflation rate of 3%. I put this calculator together to show you how much things could cost in the future. You can change the current dollar amount and the expected inflation rate. Anyway, it is kind of fun (and depressing) to look at. Oh, and the default dollar amount of $150 reflects our current grocery budget. It is hard to believe that $150 worth of groceries could cost nearly $600 in 40 years!
