Finally!
By JLP | June 15, 2006
I don’t normally talk about the weather on this bog (except hurricanes). I’m going to make an exception because I’m excited about this forecast:
Except for one day a couple of weeks ago when we got over a foot of rain in less than 12 hours, we have been VERY dry and hot, which is pretty much unheard of in this part of Texas. Anyway, I’m happy to see some rain in the forecast.

We begin Stage 3 (lowest severity) water restrictions here in Plano, Texas next week. During that time, I can only run the sprinklers once a week, while in this heat it needs watering good 3 days a week. In the 6+ years we’ve owned our house, we’ve never had water restrictions. Oh, my beautiful green lawn…
We will be allowed to water the plants and flowers with a hose, though, so long as it’s not during daytime. I mean, what idiots water their lawn at 2 pm in the Summer?!? 80% of water evaporates, maybe more. Unfortunately, I see said behavior on my street…
