JLP and Laptops Don’t Mix!
By JLP | July 10, 2006
This is unbelievable.
Earlier this evening I had my new HP dv8000 laptop in the family room. I was sitting on the couch. The phone was close by so I decided to give my dad a call. Well, our phone battery has been going dead on us lately and the phone started beeping during my conversation. So, I put the laptop on the table and ran back to the bedroom to grab the other phone. I was back there for 5 minutes or so and after I was done chatting with my dad I came back out to the family room to find that my 2-year old daughter managed to pull three of the keys off my laptop! Normally that’s not such a big deal but the little springs that allow the keys to bounce back up after you punch them were NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!
So, I had to order a new keypad from HP, which set me back $50. Not too bad. It could have been a lot worse.
