Papa John’s Knows Customer Service
By JLP | July 23, 2006
We got home kind of late last night and didn’t feel like making dinner. So, I ordered two pizzas from Papa John’s: one large with double pepperoni on regular crust and one large hamburger and jalapeno on thin crust. Thirty minutes later the delivery lady shows up with the double pepperoni like I ordered and a cheese pizza. I told her that that wasn’t what I ordered but I agreed to take it anyway. She told me that she would go back and have them make me another hamburger and jalapeno and bring it back to us. I told her not to worry about it.
About 20 minutes later the doorbell rang. It was the Papa John’s delivery lady again with a replacement pizza and a two-liter bottle of Coke. She apologized for the mix up and told us to have a great evening.
The experience left me with a good impression of Papa John’s.

I can’t say that I’ve had Papa John’s make any big mistakes, but they make the effort to fix even the little problems quickly. Thinking back over the years, I can come up with a handful of businesses that have the attitude that they will do what it takes to make it right. I can remember every single one of them. I remember the details of the problem and what they did to solve it. Those are the businesses I recommend to people over and over again.

Papa John’s is slowly dying in my area, but I always thought they were great.
