Interview with Milton & Rose Friedman
By JLP | July 26, 2006
I just read an interesting interview with Milton & Rose Friedman that was in last weekend’s Wall Street Journal. The Friedmans, both economists, are in their 68th year of marriage. Both are conservative but don’t agree with everything President Bush is doing. Anyway, I found the interview interesting. I have to confess that I have never read any of the Friedmans’ books but they are on my to-do list.

There is nothing “economically” conservative about Bush, so I wouldn’t put him anywhere near this article.
What a great man! Yeah, he advised Pinochet … but look at Chile today–the most advanced economy in Latin America.
Then look at the nobel prizes in economics today, some are truly laughable. Fortunately, as the article states, though the elites may theoritize on the greatness of collectivism, the rest of us are sane enough to practice free market-ism.
