I’m Through…

By JLP | August 21, 2006

Red Sox

No more Red Sox for me this year. In other words, they STINK! No more looking at standings, no more checking scores. I’m THROUGH!

There! I had to get that off my chest. I feel better now.

Spoken like a true Red Sox fan. Then they will start to creep back into playoff contention and you will start to check the standing and box scores and then they will rip you heart out of your chest again. On the plus side maybe I can get some tickets for cheap and actually go see the Red Sox at Fenway

They can’t be as bad as the Royals, can they? I mean hasn’t KC broken the record for most games lost for the last 2 years consecutively? Hopefully our Chiefs will do good this year…

    Todd,

Yeah, I aleady do enough of that. Now I’ll have time to spend with my family.

    John,

The Sox aren’t going anywhere this year. After being swept by the Yankmees, they don’t deserve to go anywhere. Pathetic, truly pathetic.

    Marko

Don’t be bringing that stuff into my house. I’m just joking (sort of).

    Brian,

    I hear ya.

    Kristine,

No, they aren’t as bad as the Royals. But, the Royals did sweep them. The thing that disappoints me is that they (the Red Sox) are a better team than they are playing. They just don’t want to win.

Come on man, don’t give up on them yet. I’m still a Dodgers fan after all these years of failure…..

    Daniel,

I have been a Red Sox fan since 1981. I’ll always be a Red Sox fan. I’m just sick of them this year.

Philadelphia fans (somewhat) feel your pain. And we apologize for shipping Abreu and Lidle to the Evil Empire.

But yes, it’s around this year when I usually stop caring about my Phutile Phils.

I’m a west-coast Sox fan and will see them play in Seattle this weekend, but now I hardly want to go :( .

It’s times like these when I go back and watch my 2004 playoff DVDs…good times.
