Not AGAIN!…
By JLP | August 25, 2006
I know Wednesday is still a long way off, but I can’t help but be concerned about Ernesto. Right now it appears to be heading right towards my area. All the sudden I’m having horrible flashbacks of last year! Any of you remember when I posted this? It’s hard to believe that it was nearly a year ago.

Good luck, JLP. Hunker down or get the heck out of there, but be safe.

Its 2007 and the hurricane season has justed started. Our insurance company has not settled on the 2004 hurricane damage claims and they dropped us. Private insurance is not avaiable from the major insurers and the smaller, lesser known companies may not have the resources to pay claims. In Florida, the state has formed a company that must charge the highest rates and requires payment of the entire premium up front. The lack of affordable available hurrican insurance is the financial achilles heel of the entire south.
