People buy Hondas despite the styling, rather than because of the styling. The front end is way too busy. But then, I'm not much into SUV's in general. Keep in mind that the older style of CR-V (we have a 2005) isn't necessarily that pretty to look at. The other thing I'm not crazy about is the larger engine. Yes, it'll increase towing capacity, but it'll also push mileage down. The CR-V has always filled the niche of an SUV for people who don't really need an SUV (if you know what I mean). With our family, I need carrying capacity, but I don't need a huge fuel bill. I kind of like it. Keep in mind that the older style of CR-V (we have a 2005) isn’t necessarily that pretty to look at.
