ONE Year Ago Today
By JLP | September 22, 2006
I don’t normally do “one year ago today…” posts because I don’t think people care what happened a year ago. I’m only bringing this up today because I am VERY THANKFUL that this year has not been a repeat of last year. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, it was one year ago today (at almost this EXACT time) that my family and I left our home as part of the evacuation for Hurricane Rita, which ended up hitting our area pretty hard. The journey was not fun but it made me thankful for what I do have.

Been a pretty quiet hurricane season so far this year. (I blame global warming for that.) Bet you are glad for the lack of excitement though.

I’m glad this season has been much calmer for you.

I hope last year does not repeat itself. Glad you and your family made it out of harms way and was able to return “home” safe and sound. Some people are not so blessed.

I too, am glad that this hurricane season has been quiet. Hopefully the rest of the year is just as quiet and it doesn’t affect you or your family.
