The Main Reason I Blog
By JLP | October 9, 2006
Yes, I make a small amount of money from blogging, but that’s not the reason I blog. I blog because I want to help people by either offering them help with their personal finances or inspire them to make changes. Reading posts like this one from Pete Tam’s blog make it all worth it. He writes,…
“I got started with Get Rich Slowly, then found AllFinancialMatters and StopBuyingCrap. Overall, I would say that the last month has been one of the most enriching periods of my life as far as personal education is concerned. I would strongly recommend anyone to add their RSS feeds into your RSS reader.”
AWESOME! He then goes on to write about how reading about personal finance helped him with making a decision involving his car.
THIS is the real reason why I blog. The small amount of monthly income I earn from blogging is just an added benefit.

Aww, that was very nice of him to recognize helpful PF Bloggers. If it matters any, you inspire me too. And you KNOW you’ve been a HUGE help to me in many ways since I’ve started blogging. Eventhough you refuse to officially become my financial adviser. I’ll get over it.

great blog. Even though there are geographical variations in PF decisions, the calculators are useful. May I provide the calculator links in my own blog?

Isn’t it great when you find out that you are helping others? I started blogging after reading Tricia’s bloggingawaydebt blog. You have a lot of great information available for everyone to read and act on if they choose. I try to check out all of the money blog network bloggers regularly. Keep up the great work.
