Kiyosaki and Orman are two PBS icons each of whom provides the occasional valuable tip mixed in with a whole lot of questionable advice and annoying self-promotion (Orman has admitted that there is a large 'entertainment' component to her material).

Maybe they don't compare with the late Ralph Ginzburg (Money$Worth), but their influence is harmful, even dangerous. How do we get PBS to take them off the air? I hope more people are seeing through their nonsense - same goes for Trump.

Opinions are like you know whats an everybody has one - lol- Like we were talking about JLP, I take the wheat and spit out the chaff- I can learn from anyone. RK started it off for me, and I have had the chance to really get to know him and his wife- and they are amazing people. They are very down to earth and compassionate people. I have a lot of respect for them. Not everyone may feel like that, but don't base your opinion on RK on John T Reed! http://www.mastermindforum.com/kiyosakiresponsetoreed.htm
PS JLP- I'll send you an autogrpahed copy of the book (wink) It's all good in the hood! lol

I have to admit that Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad/Poor Dad did help me get my butt in gear and my mind on my finances, but have since turned sour on the guy, especially in light of his continuing stream of B.S. as aptly noted in Steve's post and the Clements review. If you're interested in a super-comprehensive debrief of Kiyosaki logic problems, visit: http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html. Check it out.

I listened to CNBC's "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch" 10-10-06, and Mr. Trump was on promoting his book "Why We Want You To Be Rich". He said the key word was "Why". The reason for this is that Trump believes that in the 21st century USA, there is no middle class - just the rich and the poor. The consequence of not being rich is to be poor, and by no means should one be poor. Trump's view on the death of the middle class was not brought out in Mr. Clements's review, and it should have been. Mr Trump says that the traditional middle class notion of getting ahead by working hard, living below your means, and investing through mutual funds is passe.
