Real Financial Heros
By JLP | October 11, 2006
I was over on Michael’s It’s Your Money blog this morning and noticed a link to a video series called Real Financial Heroes. How can something be so funny and so true at the same time? Here’s the links so you can watch them yourself:
Real Financial Heroes – Part I – Mr. Impulse Buyer Guy
Real Financial Heroes – Part II – Mrs. Addicted to Big Sale Shopper
Real Financial Heroes – Part III – Mr. & Mrs. Too Much Homebuyer
Finally, I agree with Michael that the Century 21 commercial is incredibly annoying.

Yup – that C21 ad is profoundly awful. A quick look into the future shows a bankruptcy and a divorce in the not-to-distant future for this couple – it’s doubtful that the kids will stay with Mom&Dad long enough to even go to the “better school district”. I wonder if Suzanne researched that part when she decided they could afford a 0% down, neg-am, 1% interest-only mortgage…

Foobarista,
I have found that when your gut is telling you not to do something, it is USUALLY a good sign not to do it. Now, I understand about overcoming fears and stepping out and trying something new. However, buying a house is not one of those things.
It’s a dumb commercial all around. Century 21 should be ashamed of themselves.
