Happy Thanksgiving!

I realize this is a day early but I wanted to go ahead and get this posted.
It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already upon us again! Last year’s Thanksgiving doesn’t seem like it was a year ago. I remember it well because I had a nasty cold and felt like poop the entire weekend.

38th Thanksgiving
14th Thanksgiving as a married man
12th Thanksgiving as a dad
I’m starting to feel old!
My favorite part about Thanksgiving: getting together with family, eating, and of course watching some football.
I hate it when people call Thanksgiving “Turkey Day.”
I don’t like to shop from the day after Thanksgiving until January 2nd.
I’m thankful for…
1. God
2. My wife
3. My kids
4. My family (parents, in-laws, sister and brother…)
5. My readers (yeah, that’s YOU!)
6. My health (although it would be nice to not pull a muscle while towel-drying my hair!)
7. My friends (including other bloggers I consider friends even though we have never officially met)
8. Our finances
9. Our house (it’s not perfect but we’re gettin’ there)
10. Our church
11. My brain (without my brain, none of this would be possible)
12. Our country
13. The President (lots of people would disagree with me but this is MY list)
14. Policemen and firemen
15. Doctors (because I HATE blood)
16. My car (it would be hard to get around without a car)
17. My books
18. My CDs (I LOVE music)
That’s all I can think of right now. If I think of more I’ll add them to the list.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Jeffrey! Remember gentlemen, lots of “whoopie points” could be scored by husbands today if they cleaned up and let the wives fall asleep on the couch. Pipe dream? Perhaps the fireFIGHTERS and policeWOMEN have spouses who indulge them…or at least pull their weight!
