OT: Sarah McLachlan’s “River”
By JLP | December 13, 2006
I just heard “River” by Sarah McLachlan. The song is on her newest CD, Wintersong. Although I like the song, the best part is the ending with a melancholy and slightly off-key rendition of “Jingle Bells.” Simply beautiful.

sarah is singing a song written & performed by joni mitchell. even the jingle bell ending is a direct copy of ms. mitchell. ‘river’ is the single most downloaded joni mitchell song on iTunes, and has had many worthy remakes, including this one. all are a homage to the genius of joni mitchell
