I Got Rid of Some of the Green

By JLP | January 12, 2007

Did you notice the subtle change I made to the look of AllFinancialMatters? I removed the green color that surrounded the sidebars. Do you like the difference? I did this because I noticed in some browsers that the green was way too bright and a bit annoying. Anyway, I would like to know what you think.

Looks pretty good. Only suggestion is you may want to now have the black pixel border that is around the boxes on the right and bottom to encompass all sides.

On my laptop LCD the two shades of tan can blend in pretty close and it isn’t separated as much visually anymore.

Looks good in IE7. The Google button on the top is a little smashed in.

I agree with Jeremy. A complete border will help separate the navigation columns from the background.

The Google button is also a little smushed in Firefox 2.

    Otherwise – simple is better.

I didn’t even notice the green was gone, but it looks nice now. I agree it was occasionally too bright.

It is quite different without the green. In some ways I think it is too tan.
