A Sad Milestone!
By JLP | March 17, 2007
According to my Spam Karma numbers (located at the bottom of the right hand sidebar) this blog is approaching its 150,000th spam comment. What’s sad is that I only have a little over 7,000 legitimate comments. I installed Spam Karma on September 29, 2005, which was 534 days ago. That means I have received an average of nearly 280 spam comments per day since I installed Spam Karma. Wow!
Ah, the joys of blogging…

I guess spam is just one of those things we all have to live with……rest assured tho, I am a new but faithful reader even if I don’t always have time to comment. Keep up the good work.

oh my, 150k. only about 40k here. you know if you have the latest WP (version 2.1+ ?).. akismet works pretty well too? I mean I’m sure you can’t compare spam activity on my blog to yours, but I feel that there’s less stuff floating through.
anyhow its built in to 2.1+, so just turn it on in the plugin page and that’s it. nothing to configure.
