Tassimo’s Customer Service is Top Notch!

By JLP | April 3, 2007

Some of you may remember when I bought my wife a Tassimo machine last year. She absolutely loves it and uses it every morning. That was until this weekend. She was cleaning the countertop and while moving the Tassimo, she touched the start button without having a “T-Disc” inserted in the slot. Normally, I wouldn’t think that would be a problem but for some reason the machine went berserk and started hissing and steaming and making all kinds of weird noises. The only way my wife could get it stop was by unplugging it from the wall. That was the last time it did anything. After that it was dead. My wife was sad.

So, yesterday I called the Tassimo customer service line and explained the problem to a very courteous customer service rep. She looked up my information (one of the advantages to registering a product) and told me that she was mailing me a postage sticker to put on the box to be sent in for repairs. She told me that if they couldn’t fix the problem, they would send me a new machine free of charge.

It was a good experience and I thought I should give credit where credit is due.

How much does each drink end up costing with the Tassimo?

Andy – I just checked Tassimo’s website, and it looks like the prices vary depending on what you want to drink. A cup of Seattle’s Best, for example, is $.50.

    Andy,

We figured it’s about $1 per cup for the Cappuccino (not including the cost of the machine).

Have you tried the espresso? I’m thinking about getting a pod machine or maybe a espresso machine.

Agreed. I have seen Customer Support trashed on other sites
but my experience is total satisfaction. We bought the standard model, paid cash and low and behold, lost the reciept. The bar code reader on the machine malfuntioned and we attempted to take it back to the store where we purchased it and got the old ” No Reciept No Exchange. ”
We subsequently contacted Braun customer care with our dilemma and were not only sent a new machine but an upgrade to our old one. We covered the shipping and it only took about two weeks to get the new one. Very pleased with our Tassimo and the customer care at Braun…

I just got a new tassimo Braun machine and the filter will not stay in the bottom of the water holder even after I let it soak for 30 mins. I called your customer service and he told me to let it soak for another 30 mins. I did so and this did not work either. I called again and the customer service woman told me to just throw the filter in the water holder and let it float….This is rediculas and I don't want a filter floating on top of the water holder. This is not the way a $l69.00 coffee pot should work. I am very unhappy with your customer service dept. Please take care of this matter and answer me soon. Thank you,
    Z Salty Leatherwood
