		<description>I think this merger makes more sense than most of the other deals which have rocked the market this week.  Consider this: Yahoo gets more traffic than Google--Yahoo is ranked Alexa #1 for traffic.  However, Google generates much more money in advertising revenue because they understand how to &quot;monetize&quot; their traffic.  Microsoft/MSN has a decent idea about how to monetize traffic as well, but it doesn&#039;t actually get much traffic relative to Google and Yahoo.  By merging, Microsoft poses a huge threat to Google in terms of stealing advertising clients and other partnerships which Yahoo may already have in place.  

My first reaction was &quot;Yahoo? Who would want that company?  Terry Semel is one step from being fired for lack of performance.&quot;  But I think Gates might actually be a suitable (and rich enough) buyer with the Yahoo stock price so deflated for the past year.  Just my take on it.</description>
