Wednesday’s GIVEAWAY (and Tuesday’s Winners)

By JLP | June 20, 2007

First off, here’s the two winners of Tuesday’s GIVEAWAY:

Commenter #’s:

25Chris

51Curtis

Congratulations to both of them.

Now, here’s Wednesday’s Giveaway:

Today’s giveaway is the Collision.kit, which is a handy little kit that you can keep in your car’s glovebox in case you ever get into an accident. The kit comes equipped with a disposable camera, pen, small clipboard, and forms to fill out when an accident occurs. This kit is a really cool idea and I bet car insurers love it! Heck, you should get a discount on your insurance (of course they won’t do that) just for carrying one!

Anyway, if you would to be included in the chance to win one of these kits (I have 2 to give away today), simply leave a comment below. I only have two rules:

1. You must be a resident of the U.S. or Canada (I will only ship product to the U.S. and Canada), and…

2. Only ONE entry per drawying but you are welcome to enter all the drawings.

That’s it! Good luck. I’ll announce Wednesday’s winners Thursday morning!

    I don’t need this. I want this.

Having some sort of info checklist on hand sure would be handy as it can be a little hectic trying to deal with the whole accident thing and remember to exchange insurance info, get police office information so you can get the police report, etc.

You can get cheaper car insurance by taking a drivers ed course. The last time I did this, it was in a drafty church basement on a January Saturday. It lasted all day. Mostly old people complaining about how young people don’t drive correctly.

I’d like this, even though I rarely drive :-)

This sounds terrific – even if I don’t win! What a great idea to do for each of our vehicles. Thanks!

This might not be true of public safety policy everywhere, but when someone backed into my car in a parking lot (I happened to be looking out the window at the time and saw the whole thing) the police wouldn’t come to write a report because it happened in a private parking lot. All the more reason a camera would be handy!

  11. HC Says:

I hope I’d never have to use this, but it sounds like it would come in awfully handy if I did.

Now this I could use! Thankfully to this point in my life I wouldn’t have had a use for it, but you never know what the future might bring. I might even buy or make one of these for myself if I don’t win because it is such a great idea.

What a great idea. It’s one of those things you hope to have and never need to use, but it’s still a great idea.

Free always works for me. Definitely an interesting website which I kinda link surfed from The Consumerist. I don’t think you will like ‘Maxed Out’ too much. Not that it doesn’t have some valid points, it tends to be very alarmist and doesn’t do much to educate someone about the actual pitfalls. Also a lot of ‘feel sorry for me’ type of interviews
