Egad. Stupid means unintelligent, not uneducated. You can’t educate yourself out of being stupid. And why should someone who doesn’t give a damn have to start giving a damn? Because YOU want them to? The whole point is that they are not “successful” (whatever that means) and don’t care. Let them be unsuccessful and content with it. In fact, I’m not even sure dealing with the lazy part is that simple. If someone is inherently lazy, telling him to get off his but is as constructive as telling someone who is sick to “just get healthy.”

"when you read more and be better educated , you will be less unintelligent !! "

I think this book is speaking to people who whine a lot and blame everything except themselves for their pitiful life. Poor, poor pitiful me attitude, I am such a victim. He believes most of what people are not happy about "can be changed" and he gives straight forward ways of doing that. Basically if you don't like your life, get off you butt and change it. You created the one you have. And he really encourages you to do that and shows you how. He is brutally truthful at times, but it works and if also funny at times. He also says since it doesn't cost much to try some of his techniques and if they don't work for you and you still want to work on "your stuff", read other books until you find something that does work for you. He does not sugar coat what he says because he wants it very clear how he feels and how much he believes almost everyone can make their lives better if they really want to. But you can't be timid. Take charge of your life and quite blaming the world for what you don't have. Sounds like a lot of you are still looking for the easy answers to have a truly great life and aren't even willing to risk $20.00 to try and change it. I am almost done with it and it is the best book I have read on changing your ways and getting what you want out of life.

You know, I would say I need to read this, but I pretty much feel that way about a lot of people already. I'm sure there are some good things about it though.

I'm going to look for it a used book store! ;)

Sounds like it would be interesting to read this book in tandem with "Nickel and Dimed." That could be an interesting study in contrasts. Is it possible that Winget is conveniently blaming the victim, here?

Sounds like an easy fix...
