JLP’s Weekly Roundup (Week of July 16th, 2007)
By JLP | July 23, 2007
Here’s a quick look at some of the happenings around the MoneyBlogNetwork (and beyond) over the past week:
Flexo reviews David Crook’s The Complete Real Estate Investing Guidebook. - Should we be listening to a guy with the last name of “Crook?”
Jim thinks weddings are scams. - I don’t think weddings are scams but I do think that people have gotten sucked into the trap of thinking that their wedding is legit only if they spend lots of money making it a grand affair.
Nickel looks at his historical net worth.
FMF with the keys to a good marriage.
MBH writes that debt trouble isn’t just for low wage earners.
The Digerati Life asks: Should your home’s valuation deserve to appreciate if you install a pool? - I have wondered the same thing since we are thinking about putting in a pool next year. At $40,000 +, it’s a good question to ask.
Jeremy says that achievment comes from goal clarity. - Good post!
LazyMan writes why he may never buy a Toyota again. - I haven’t seen the commercial of which he speaks, but I don’t need to see it. I probably won’t ever buy a Toyota because I think they’re ugly. Seriously, the ONLY Toyota I even think is halfway decent-looking is the Camry. Everything else is horrendous in my book. Oh, and from some of the pictures I have seen, it’s only gonna get worse!
Ben at MoneySmartLife asks if the minimum wage is too low? - I say get rid of the minimum wage altogether and let the market decide what people are worth.
