JLP’s Weekly Roundup (Week of August 13, 2007)
By JLP | August 19, 2007
Well, I’m finally getting back into the swing of things. We had a lovely time up in Kansas. We got back last Wednesday and I have spending time with my family and really haven’t had the time nor the desire to blog (hey, I’m just being honest). Anyway, now the party is over and it is time to get back to work. Here’s a look at some of the posts from the MoneyBlogNetwork over the past week:
Tired of getting credit card offers? Jim has a post on how to stop getting credit card offers.
Flexo found a list of unrespected careers. – I’m kind of surprised to see banker on the list. I never considered a banker to be unrespected.
Nickel wonders whether or not we are in a stock market freefall. – Look at it this way: if you are currently investing a set dollar amount each pay period, you are buying more shares because they are cheaper. In the long run, that’s a good thing.
FMF with Dave Ramsey’s take on tithing. – I’m in agreement with Dave on this one. I think people should tithe no matter what their financial situation.
Here’s Part 3 of MBH’s series on starting and running an eBay store. – I have NEVER sold anything on eBay. It just seems like too much of a pain to me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to BluntMoney! – I think one blog year is equal to 4 normal years!
That’s it for now. I’ll try to get back to longer roundups next week.

I’ve sold LOTS of stuff on ebay, its quick, easy, and pretty painless. Of course sometimes you get pain in the ass customers, but I just refund their money and be done with it. Once, my mom gave me a box of old stuff I had from school. A lot of sailor moon books (go ahead and laugh) that I bought for $10 a piece along time ago, turns out their out of print and worth $20-$30 a piece! Same with some old CDs I had!

tithing? you’re joking, i hope. (listened to d ramsey a little bit. i get the religious part of some of his comments. whatever. but, the freakin’ audacity to tell people who might be on the edge financially to give 10% away or else…)
