JLP’s Weekly Roundup (Week of November 26, 2007)
By JLP | December 3, 2007
Here’s a quick look at some of the happenings in MoneyBlogNetwork and beyond:
Here’s Jim’s Beware Hindsight in Investing Strategies, which was a reply to my post last week on the Total Market Index.
Nickel highlights a Ric Edelman piece titled The Lies That (Some) Financial Advisors Tell.
FMF with does your pastor check your giving record? I’m pretty sure our pastor does not and should not because it really isn’t his business. Tithing and giving should be between you and God.
JD with a guest post on the pros and cons of an interest-only mortgage. – I’m sure there’s ways to take advantage of an interest-only mortgage but I wouldn’t touch them. I think the I/O was created solely for the bank’s profit.
MBH has some good advice: Invest in yourself by learning things of value. – Unfortunately, I know LOTS of stuff that are of NO VALUE!
NCN talks about making a break with the past.
The Digerati Life highlights some wacky piggy banks.
Kay Bell posted a list of Financial (and other) books for holiday getting and giving.
The Finance Buff wonders what part appraisers played in the real estate mess. – Good question!
The Frugal Duchess wrote about how to hire friends.
Jeremy has a visual history of the stock market (1996 – 2007). – Pretty charts!
That’s it for this week.

Thanks for the link of sorts (since the post isn’t actually on my blog). I’d never take out an IO mortgage either. Too risky for me.
