I once had a guy tell me in an interview:

1. I can take someone who works hard but isn’t smart.
2. The best is someone who is smart AND works hard.
3. Someone who is smart but doesn’t want to work is the most useless and shameful things to me.

I never forget that.

Emulate Jay Leno? Are you kidding? Leno has never been funny, nor is he a man of the people. That jay walking shtick he does is all about making stupid people look stupid on tv. What a mensch! He makes me cringe. This is a guy who thinks it’s entertaining for the proles when he shows off his vast car collection. Yeah, he’s just like the fella next door.

At first I was gonna comment and say number (1) and (2) are my favorite but come to think of it, they’re all excellent points!!! (Whether you’re a Jay Leno fan or not)

But I will say that pushing your comfort zone will allow you to find your voice in the medium of blogging…in fact, it’s applicable in all that we do.

I don’t know, it’s been years since I’ve laughed while watching Jay Leno. Is that show supposed to pass for quality product? I don’t know, just my opinion… and no, I don’t think Letterman’s any better.
