A Great Gift For The Market Junkie In Your Life

I picked up the 4th edition of Jeremy Siegel’s Stocks for the Long Run (Affiliate Link). It’s an excellent book for anyone who wants to understand how the markets work.

The fourth edition has been expanded to include historical information on the S&P 500, global stocks, exchange-traded funds, and information on fundamental indexing (which makes sense since Siegel is involved with Wisdom Tree).

Oh, and while I’m talking about books, check out Russell Bailyn’s Navigating the Financial Blogosphere.

Russell sent me a copy of his book, Navigating the Financial Blogosphere (Affiliate Link) a while back and I have yet to finish reading it. I will say that what I have read so far is pretty good. The really neat thing about his book is at the end of each chapter, he mentions different blogs that deal with the topics of the chapter. AllFinancialMatters was mentioned a couple of times, marking the FIRST time I have received any mention in a published book!!!!!!!). Anyway, Russell’s book is great for someone just starting out in life or someone who has a limited knowledge of personal finance.
