ANNOUNCEMENT: Smart Money’s “Retire ‘Retirement’” Contest Winner
By JLP | January 16, 2008
Last Fall I mentioned that Smart Money was running a contest to see who could come up with a word or phrase to replace the word “retirement.” Well, they recently announced the winning phrase. Wanna know what it is?
Click here to find out. The announcement is located in the box on the right hand side of the page. The winner won a $100,000 annuity (free annuities are okay!).

If they just slapped 2.0 on…..GAH!
Seriously? Smart Money had to give this guy $100k to come up with that?!
*sigh* There are no unique ideas anymore.

Barf. I had sent in “Life 1.1″ (not really)
One was hoping for a word that would persist beyond the next week, when we’ll want to talk about Life 3.35 Service Pack 7.
An aside: one of the most clever ad campaigns recently is IBM’s ads against “innovation buzzwords”.

I would leave a comment, but I couldn’t figure out how to type me giving a thumbs down while making farting noises with my tongue.

UGH — if that was the best they got I’d hate to see the rest of the entries.

That’s absolutely brutal. Poll any high school Economics class and you’d get at least a handful better than that garbage.
