I Was On “Your Turn with Mike Causey” This Morning
By JLP | April 23, 2008
Mike Causey and Francis Rose were kind enough to have me on their show, Your Turn with Mike Causey, on Federal News Radio this morning. Overall I think I did an okay job. I was pretty nervous as I am not used to being on live radio. It’s much different from blogging, where I can write and rewrite before I post. When it’s live, once you’ve said it, it’s out there. There’s no going back!
If you’re interested, here’s a link to the show (or you can download it here). I come on about halfway through the episode.
Anyway, thanks for Mike and Francis for having me on their show.

you sounded great. awesome. lord have mercy can we all get past the annuity thing. you wanna make a name for yourself, JLP? i offer this cause i look at this board once a day and i owe you something. be the one personal finance blogger to go on a radio show like that one and tell ‘em annuities are pathetic, pitiful endeavors (won’t even use the word investments) for the buyers. don’t backpedal after saying indexed annuities or whatever the heck they’re called are bad - but some annuities are OK. they all su**, unless you’re the seller. remember a few months ago i challenged any annuity sympathizer or apologist to come up with one specific example where any annuity beats a simple bank or brokerage firm CD? still waiting.
