ANNOUNCEMENT: Smart Money Could Use Your Help Again
By JLP | July 21, 2008
I received the following email this morning. If anyone can help, please contact Lisa via the email listed at the end of the post.
I’m working on a story this week about programs that let consumers swap or cash in their rewards points or frequent-flier miles. For example: I’ll give you a new coffee maker for your 20,000 Delta miles. Two such sites are LoyaltyMatch.com and Points.com. I’m wondering if any of your readers have used these programs and for what exactly. Please email me: lscherzer-at-Smartmoney.com. Thanks.
Best,
Lisa Scherzer

United States in now under recession and its people are working so hard in order to survive the hitting economy. People are trying to find ways to get extra money, and many of them are asking about whether the expenses related to college educations are worth it, specifically if it is worth attending a private college versus a state school. SmartMoney ran some of the numbers, and it shows that a good deal of people who shell out the bigger bucks at a private university don’t see a higher return on their investment and extra money than those who went the state route. In fact, the most elite of private universities, those schools referred to as the Ivy League, saw some of the lowest returns on the cost of a four year degree of all. Here are the results of the SmartMoney study and more ideas on how to save extra money on college.
