JLP’s Roundup (August 14, 2008)
By JLP | August 14, 2008
Today, August 14th, marks the 15th anniversary for my wife and me. For the first time ever, we are taking a few days off (without the kids). Before I left, I wanted to give you a short roundup. I’ll do a bigger roundup next week. I’ll be back on Monday. Enjoy your weekend.
1. We start off this week’s roundup with FMF wanting you to share your “good boss” story.
2. Nickel has 10 things teens should know about money. - It should be part of a high school exit exam!!!!!!
3. J.D.’s taking care of his mom’s affairs for a week or two. In his place are various guest writers. One of them interviewed Motley Fool’s David Gardner.
4. MBH wants to know how much you’ll fight for in the checkout line? - I don’t like starting arguments or making people uncomfortable so it would depend on the situation. Sometimes things just really get on my nerves and I have to say something.
5. NCN talks about the financial impact of a new baby. - How can something so little COST SO FREAKIN’ MUCH?
6. Wise Bread asks: Is living on one income a status symbol? - I’m sure some people think so.
7. Flexo desires your input on office giving. - It’s an interesting conundrum.
