Year-to-Date Sector Total Returns

Here is a quick look at the yeart-to-date total returns (includes dividends) for the ten sectors that make up the Dow Jones Total Market Index. As you can see, 2008 has not been kind!

I’ll update the Israelsen Portfolio next.

Thanks for the info. It’s hard to believe that financials are not the worst performing – although they are close!

Hmmm… I don’t think the index takes into account survivor’s bias (i.e. doesn’t include the value of the failed companies). I think the numbers would be far worse when you include those companies in as well…
