I am having the same problem with this horrible business. Today I told the rep that I was turning them over to the Better Business Bureau and he said, “goodbye stupid” and hung up on me. I would love to strangle whoever the joker on the other end of the line is. UGH!!

The most annoying thing about these shmucks is that they will never reveal the number they’re calling from. I’ve been on the line and have asked them that; they hang up immediately. They are a total scam, and I wonder how they stay in business. Somebody must be falling for “Rachel” or “Heather,” or else they’d been gone ages ago.

I get 2 calls per day and am so sick and tired of them. It’s getting to the point that we are going to change our phone number that we have had for about 20 years now.. We cannot track them down, we have turned them into the BBB and still nothing.. We are at our wits end. Trust me, if there is something out there to be tried, we have tried it and the calls get more frequent because of it… UGH!!

On 12/5/2011, the US Dept of Justice filed an action on behalf of the FTC alleging that Roy M. Cox, Jr of California is responsible for all of the Rachael calls. Google him and perhaps give him a call or two – or three, or four, or etc.

They called again today and I told them I would have to find my credit card, whereupon they hung up on me. Maybe a lot of people are now doing this to them, so they hang up if you don’t have your card.

You do have to tell them you have something like $15K in debt and an interest rate of 19 percent or so to string them along even far enough to ask for your credit card information.

Next step: give them a randomly-generated series of numbers to get them to waste time trying to process it? The idea is to let them waste their time while you do other work.

If you call a number that you know is disconnected and record the three tone automated answer, you can play this back for any automated dialing system. It will automatically remove your number from their dialing list and no human on their end can keep it from deleting your number.

I’ve been adding each number to my call blocking list… so far, there are 9 different numbers from “Cardholders Services” that are being blocked. I had 3 calls today from 3 different numbers.

They must score with some folks or else they wouldn’t be going thru the expense of hiring staff and expensive computer phoning equipment.

Our wonderful FCC and FTC are too busy chasing rainbows to handle this scam.

I’ve been getting these calls for a couple of years..I either don’t answer the phone or sometimes I hit #1 to have person talk the phone number off their list but today I way in a bad mood so I told them they had reached a monitored phone and that I was in jail and needed them to make a call for me as I only had one call I could make…the lady hesitated then said Oh, I’m sorry I can’t do that as I pleaded with her…then she hung up.
