The price of oil starts moving up and all the sudden we have all these “experts” with their predictions.

I really think that Oil's "got ahead of itself", and that as soon as we know what the recession has impacted, in terms of oil consumption, we will only be able to estimate correctly then.
Developing countries are more likely to have major increases oil consumption than developed countries, thus increasing global demand.
to put it simple. if world GDP is a positive figure then expect oil to sky rocket. if not then I can't see it hitting more than $75-$80 a barrel.
