10 Economics Blogs The Wall Street Journal Recommends

By JLP | July 16, 2009

There was a very interesting story in today’s WSJ about how economics blogs are becoming popular due to the state of the economy. Attached to the article is a reader’s guide to econoblogs, with a list of 10 of their favorites. Here’s the list:

Calculated Risk

The Conscience of a Liberal (sounds like one of my favorites…lol)

Economist’s View

Grasping Reality with Both Hands

Greg Mankiw (we used one of his text books back in college)

Marginal Revolution (I used to read this blog years ago but quit reading for some reason)

The Baseline Scenario

EconomistMom

Econbrowser

Real Time Economics

To their list of bloggers, I would also like to add the writings of Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams.

I love Greg Mankiw’s blog and read it regularly. I also used to read Marginal Revolution but couldn’t keep up with all the posts. Thanks for the other recommendations.

I like that Krugman is his own “conscience”. Sounds a bit self-referential…
