I Made a Few Minor Changes to AFM

I made a few changes to the look of AFM.

For one, I added a lovely picture of my wife and me, taken on my brother’s birthday last November. Every year my forehead gets bigger and bigger…lol.

Second, I changed up the books section on the right sidebar. I’ll be using this section to alert you of different books I am reading or perusing. Yes, those are affiliate links.

That’s it for now. I’ll be looking for more ways to kind of spruce up the site. Let me know if you have any suggestions on things you’d like to see.

Oh, and if you’re reading via a feed, PLEASE stop by and visit the REAL blog every so often. I understand the importance of RSS feeds, but I hate them.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Agree with you on the RSS feeds, it seriously cuts into commenting, but darn it is hard to visit all the different sites to see if they have updated or not.

I guess I use the reader for the convenience. Good to be able to put a face to the name behind the blog.

  2. Yeah, I use Google Reader to get a quick overview of the dozen or so blogs that I read. Then I look for interesting subjects and actually go to the site to read the post and comment.

And if you guys have AdBlock Plus or something similar installed for your browser you should consider disabling it for sites like JLP’s blog. Help the small guys out!

  3. Some of the best books I’ve read, I’ve found here on AFM. You’ve posted some really great videos too, especially that one of Jesse Cook. I actually went to one of his concerts because of that video!

  4. I like the new set up, and I think she’ll smarten up eventually and upgrade…JOKING lol.

I would love to see, comment subscribe or similar wordpress plugin. I feel like I have great conversations on some of your posts, but I don’t always remember to come back and check out the latest rebuttal.

  5. Nice, love the picture of you and your wife. Good to see you, and your forehead looks fine 😉

I love my RSS feeds. It doesn’t keep me from commenting as long as the feeds are somewhat integrated with my e-mail…meaning that my feed reader is part of my browser’s e-mail. I just have a lot to go through every day, but all the news including your posts are very much enjoyed.
